Honestly, SpeedFan is totally shit program. I would recommend EVEREST.

Make a CPU stress test with Orthos, called "Small FFTs - stress CPU" on priority 9. I prefer 1-2h test to check if your PC crash or something . You can also run some program in the background to see what temps you have during test.

I had the same with my laptop. Laptop runs smooth for years and suddenly i had the same problem like you.
I have always had max performance on my laptop. (min 100%/ max 100%) Now i switched back to 80% max and suddenly my problem was gone.
You could give it a try.

Your config isnt really important , you can run ET wihtout any problem .
what are you using windows xp pro or win 7 ?

Someone already asked , but did you test with other games to see if you still have that problem ?

Once your pc shut down , open it ( cut power in case) and with your hand touch motherboard radiator , or graphcard / or processor to see what is anormally heat

I played today cod mw 2 and no problems!
I play et and after 20 min pc crashed like my first post -.-
No bluescreen only the picture ingame frozen and the the computer shuts down.
What can i do??
