Help,got a problem

i have dell pc with 4GB RAM and intel core i3 2350 M CPU @2.30Ghz.
how much fps should i get?(ET)
when i play et i get unstable fps its usually 10-15 fps and i think the problem is with et
cuz i ran other games with good fps like PES 2013/2014 and CoD 4
and even with low quality cfgs it stills the same
what do you think the problem is guys?
P.S it was running normally before with a different et installation on the same pc

It may not fix the problem but: Which is your graphics card? Are there all drivers installed and up2date on your pc?

Try this:

\vid_restart

Also:
-right click on your desktop and open the panel control of the "graphic treatment".
-try to find the "vsync" setting and force the disabling.
-same with "multithreading" setting. Force the disabling if it's present. (not present in AMD products).

If still no result try this in case:
\r_primitives 2
\vid_restart

@johny intel 3000 hd and there is important update not installed called 'Security Update for windows 7' is that update important for fps?

Well, you should always install updates which are available because most of the time they contain security fixes and therefore give you more security to you computer. But to check if the DRIVERS are up2date, go to (probs u're using windows7) Computer, then on the top menu System properties, then on the left menu devices manager, now if there's an update available, you should see a left info sign telling you an update is avi. Best would always to double-check that on the provider's homepage. Type in your graphics card and download / install the latest version (if there is one).

i had that fps problem with ET, just pust add /r_primitives 2 in console or seta ... @ cfg.

And for ATI/AMD graph cards , my mate Kanye told me to add add atioglxx.dll in etmain.
and then managed to play at stable 125 fps .

(many of you may already know about that , but thats my first AMD card so.. i had no clue)

Unfortunately the link he gave me is no longer working, but just google it and you will find many conversations about it .
