W:ET for mac

Hello,

before, sorry for my english (i am french so...)
I try to install Xfire (no for mac) so i install ifire, but it's match but, when i try to join a game,it's write:
"wolfenstein cannot continue
couldn't load default.cfg - i am missing essentials files - verify your instalation?"

i don't know what kind of "esential files" are missing...

i haven't download map, that's the prob ??
i was a player there was many years ago, but it changes since...

First question, do you have Windows or Mac OS?
From your post I understood that you're a Windows user because you installed Xfire, am I right?

He has OS X and is using unofficial Xfire client.

Ah, OK, I googled that iFire doesn't equal Xfire ;)

Try to reinstall the game to another directory, it helps sometimes. Next thing, try with other install file, eg. 2.60d full installer -> http://www.wolffiles.de/index.php?filebase&fid=13

I have the same issue with ts3 and WET on Windows 7. If ts3 is open when I start ET I get the exact same message.

SOLUTION: Start WET, then start ts3 - Both then work fine!

ts3 is treated as a hacking client because it accesses WET files for the overlay to work. I would assue ifire does the same so maybe the same solution will work.
