ET keeps laging now and then

Hi guys,

i have a serious problem with ET:

The game works fine for about 10min and then it starts laging (the fps drops dramatically) for about 30sec - 1min.
After that the game runs normal for again 10min and the laging starts again.

This happens to me on all servers and all gaming modes/mods etc.

All my other games run perfectly and my pc is good enough for playing ET.
I have this problem now for quite a while and i haven´t found any solution yet.

Does anybody have the same problem and/or know of a solution.

I would be very happy if you could help me.

Try running ET with 1 processor, do that on task manager.

maybe a cooling problem? check your cpu- and videocardfan and clean it.

Maybe your PC decides to put GFX card, CPU into powersaving mode. You can try setting Perfomance mode for Windows, and for GFX it depends on Vendor- how you can force it to keep high perfomance mode.

thx for your help, but...

i tried what Dookie said but still the same problem.

And i think it´s not a problem of the pc or the graficcard since all other games run perfectly.

Any other ideas?
