I Found this program called DriverGenius, which helped me to update most of my drivers on my pc:

Everything went fine,pc restarted, all good until the program tried to make same thing for the nvidia gforce 8400gs video card:

The driver was successfully downloaded, but the installation was not that successfull:

So i have tried to do it myself, manually from nvidia control panel :

Same result.

My system config:

Only thing I can think of is issues with older drivers or anti virus.
Have you tried installing it with the anti virus turned off?
If that doesn't work try to remove the old nvidia drivers.
Also from the hard drive.(C:\Nvidia\...)

Try downloading latest driver from nvidia site and perform a clean install (that option with warning mark).

Same as Paul
or go there http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29 (use google page translator ) or use google chrome and bar will appears to translate .

Or hit " lancer la detection " or download plugin x64 or x86 , once installed reload the page (F5) and prress again " lancer la detection"

I use that for years never had a single prob .. once your whole config has been scanned , the list will appears , blue stuff are the recommended drivers ( the newest ones)

But make sure you unistall old drivers from ACP ..and even delete them in program files before doing another intall.

I would recommend a clean install.

1. run http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html . This piece of software does make sure that every little piece of Your old nvidia software is removed.

2. Go to nvidia.com and manually download and install latest drivers for your graphic card :)

EDIT: I should look abit more at posting dates, sorry for waking this topic up
