Hello folks,

so as we recently had our 5 year anniversary 5 days ago, we published a big update. Yet we haven't really informed you about it, so that's what I'm going to do right now. We have implemented a few smaller features which are:

Tutorials on all platforms
From now on, all platforms (ET, FC, COD4) have their own tutorials. You can submit new tutorials on this page (http://cms.trackbase.net/?mod=tuts). Now, only tutorials assigned to the game (or pinned tutorials) will be shown on that game tracker tutorials page.

Automatically refreshing video suggestions
On the COD4 & ET home page, there's a block suggesting new videos. These 3 random items will refresh every 5 seconds from now on.

Best rated videos
The COD4 & ET video section now have an extra block showing the best rated videos (of all time).

Favoriting a favorite server (ET)
This one sounds a bit confusing, I admit, but: it's simple to understand. You may or may not have added server buddies. They can be viewed on this page (http://et.trackbase.net/favoriteservers). Now, you can make ONE of your favorite servers your favorite favorite server. The benefit is that you will see the TB server monitor of that server on the home page. This lets you check the current players and team players more easily and a lot faster.

A small change to your buddy list (ET)
Since we want to show information as clear and real as possible, we decided to remove the function 'player buddies' for player owners. What does it mean? Well, if you have reserved a name on your account, you won't be able to increase your buddy counter by adding yourself to the buddylist. We are going to remove all current player buddies who are the name owners from the buddylist within the next couple days. Also, if you think adding yourself to the buddylist and reserving the name afterwards helps, we are going to run this process every "x time" so this will stay safe.

Clanpage updates
You may or may not have seen the new clan pages already. We have redesigned the page to be more responsive and give a cleaner look. You will find all relevant clan information on the right while there's module content on the left (modules such as news). As usual, you can find the members on the bottom.
We have added two new modules:
1) Forums: This module existed already but wasn't used that much yet. We have redesigned it and made it more secure. We hope to see more clans using our forum module in the future since hosting own forums can be pretty tough and requires tech knowledge sometimes. Please note that players who can access your clan settings (Recruiter+), can manage your forums as well. You may consider re-setting clan permissions.
2) News: This module is new! You can now create clan-specific news right from your clanpage. This way you can make your news public on TrackBase and also attach them to your clanpage at the same time. As clans and squads are more connected to each other from now, news items can be created either on clan & squad, clan, specific squad only OR (as a squad admin) on squad only. As with this new feature, we will not approve clan-specific news items on the TB home page anymore. So please only post important news on the TB home page (http://et.trackbase.net/news/write/). We, however, plan to give an option to promote clan news to the TB home page in exchange for some TB points. Please give us your opinion on that. Please also note that players who can access your clan settings (Recruiter+), can manage the news items as well. You may consider re-setting clan permissions.
As stated above already, with the new update we bring clans and squads even closer. Squads pages now have the same design and use the same link (/clan/ID). We are automatically detecting whether you are searching for a clan or a squad and show you the relevant information. Squads and clans do have ONE single forum. It's located on the clanpage.

Playerinfo sorting (ET)
Now you can sort information on a playerinfo page. We know that a player is playing a lot of different maps. Sometimes this can get a bit messy. Now you can sort the maps by your wishes.

Notifications
We are introducing notifications for all platforms. Whenever there's a reason to notify you about something (like when your TBP value has changed), you will get a nice popup showing the message. This feature rolls out to all platforms within the next few days. You can view and read the notifications in the CMS (http://cms.trackbase.net/?mod=notifications).

These are the features we have added on Oct, 10th. Of course we have fixed a lot of bugs throughout the last months and new ones for sure have come up. So please do not hesitate to report them in the relevant forum (http://forum.trackbase.net/forums/7-Trackbase-Bugs-Feedback-amp-Feature-requests).

Well, we're almost at the end. But: We still have another surprise for a group of users who are tech freaks. :)
I have heard of a feature request some time ago which I followed. It all started very small but became bigger throughout the time.
I can proudly present you the TrackBase Developers Platform (http://developers.trackbase.net/).
Some developers have asked for information from TrackBase and how they could use them. Since 5 years, you couldn't do anything but had to make your own program, so basically you had to rebuild the parts of TrackBase you wanted in your website. Of course that wasn't possible for everything. Now it is. With the TrackBase Developers Platform, developers can create applications and access our new APIs. APIs that actually give you some information that you can use. For now we only have two APIs but have already planned another two which will be published in the next months. Please suggest what you'd like to get from TrackBase to feed your very own website. All we require you is simply to give a hint somewhere on your website that you are using information from TrackBase, redirecting to us. :)
Now, follow the instructions and read through the page (http://developers.trackbase.net/), and hopefully we can see your own applications interacting with our TB APIs more and more.
Give it a try and you'll see, it's got potential and can give you useful information that you can use on your own page. Without rebuilding code. Without using your own server power. Without any strain. You're welcome.

Now at the end, I'd like to hear from you: What do you like, what can be improved and what is completely wrong in your eyes. I'd love to hear your feedback and of course new feature suggestions.

Please also follow our social media channels so you will stay up to date and get all the important notifications right on your smartphone or PC.

Can you please make it clear for me, so the only thing you can do with the ranking api is get player list from the "ranklist"?

Ok great seems you solved that, thank you!

Yeah, no.
You are indeed receiving 'only' the ranklist. But that includes a lot of information about the players and their clans (player toplist), or about the clans itself (clan toplist). :)
